How we got there
We took a train from Bodo, through Trondheim to reach Dombas. We then boarded another train from Dombas to get to Andalsnes. Right opposite the railway tracks of Andalsnes station is a bus stop, from where we took a bus to reach Alesund. All of the above tickets were pre-booked online.
Where we stayed
We stayed in a convenient apartment right in the centre of Alesund town. It was an Airbnb accommodation situated in No.7 Nedre Strandgate (street). We also had a booking for one of the couples, in First Hotel Atlantica, which was at a 2 min walking distance from 7 Nedre Strandgate.
How we got around
We got around the entire Alesund town easily by foot. The ferry port to Geiranger & the bus stop to Stranda was right behind our accomodation, making our trip easy.
